The SIY Challenge has not only given a wonderful hobby, the start of a career and some very individual clothes, it has also given me a fabulous social life. Through talking to fellow sewing lovers on social media I started to realise how many sewers there actually were on my door step. So the Sew It Yourself Meet Up was created so that we could get together once a month to share our passion and make friends.
The second Saturday of each month
5pm - 7pm
At the The Craftea Cafe (22 Melville St, Lincoln, LN5 7HW)
Each Meet Up we have...
A Drop In Sewing Surgery - If you have a project you are struggling with bring it along there are lots of people who can give you advice.
A Fabric and Pattern Bank - If you have any patterns or fabric you have no use for add it to the fabric bank and have a rummage, you might find something you love.
The SIY Mini Challenge - Each Meet Up we set a sewing challenge to make tor the next Meet Upall good fun and if you make something you are entered into a raffel.
There is also one Free Tea or Coffee kindly provided by The Craftea Cafe.
